I first became enamored with photography in early elementary school, when I became fascinated with capturing sunsets. This discovery begat boxes of photographs of the view of the sunset from my back yard in North Texas.

Many years later, and hundreds of miles away from that backyard, my photography focuses mostly on people. Through training in the art program at Yale University (where I studied with Tim Davis, Tod Papageorge and Greg Crewdson), dedicated mentors, and some fairly good luck, I am now doing what I love. I currently live in Vancouver, BC.

I find inspiration all around me. As a favorite teacher once told me, "I think the greatest invention of the twentieth century is the notion that anything can be beautiful." I admire, and am endlessly grateful for, all the people who helped me be who I am today.

I have photographed for recording artists Michal Towber and Kelsey Toney, and has been published in Newsweek's Current magazine. My photography has been featured in gallery shows at Yale, both in solo shows, and larger collections.

Let me start by saying this: I know professional photography is an investment.  My rates are competitive, and I'm worth it.  However, you are worth it, too.  You deserve to have beautiful photos of yourself, your family, your event.  If my rates are out of your reach, let's talk.  Depending on my schedule and your needs, we may be able to find something that will work for both of us.   Please use the form below to contact me.

Weddings start at $1800 for a full day of photography.  This includes a DVD of all of your full-resolution, edited photos and an on-line proofing gallery where you can order large prints and your friends and family will have access to the photos.  An engagement shoot or bridal portraits may be booked free of charge with a 25% deposit on the wedding contract.  I definitely want to do a session with you to get to know you before your wedding!  I am happy to travel for location weddings.  Please contact me to discuss the specific terms of this kind of wedding.

Events are priced per hour at $175/hr with a 2 hour minimum.  This includes all of your edited photos and an on-line proofing gallery where you can order prints and your friends and family will have access to the photos.  

Portrait sessions start at $125 for a single session with up to 4 people (pets are people too!).

This includes up to a 30 minute session in a single location.  A single session usually yields 20-25 images which you will receive in a private online gallery.  Prints can be directly purchased through the proofing gallery.  

If you require reproduction rights for commercial head-shots, please contact me to negotiate the terms of release.

Directories are priced based on the number of portraits (and sessions) needed as well as final output required.  Just let me know what you are thinking and I will be happy to discuss your needs and give you an estimate.
